LaTasha Taylor, LPC-A
I am a MSW who is working toward becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have found that providing mental health services gives me true satisfaction and where I really thrive. I am married with 5 daughters (it is not as bad as you might think!), and was born and raised in Texas. I have a deep faith and believe it was my calling to provide therapy services to those in need. I see clients individually 18 and up.

My approach to therapy is solution focused with my theoretical approach being humanistic, CBT, Narrative, and general systems. I understand that not everyone feels they need to revisit their past to move forward in life; focusing on the here and now and solving the problem. Clients are allowed to heal, learn, grow, and balance so that they can become their true selves.

I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space that fosters acceptance, growth, healing, and forgiveness. Freedom and accountability go hand in hand with each other. I can see through the disability justice lens and understand when humans are impacted by historical or current oppression, and by cycles of abuse and trauma. As a Black Woman, I understand the unique position of BIPOC clients who may be seeking to heal from intergenerational and current trauma and oppression. I seek to help explore and claim cultural strengths, and to repair within ourselves those necessary acts our ancestors have done out of survival or superiority. I have a lot of experience helping the LGBTQ+ clients be authentic and heal from negative experiences or feelings they may have encountered. My practice is a safe space to explore all the parts of the human experience and again, live a life worth living by empowering them to take control of their lives. Let us work together to upgrade your goals, experiences, and life direction. We can do this!
